We are currently compiling a list of persons interested in participating in Support
Groups. These meetings are not facilitated by professionals, instead, they are
lead by people with first hand knowledge of and life experience with mental illness
issues. If you are interested in Support Group Therapy, please e-mail or call us at
(608)296-4634 to let us know what type of group you would be interested in.
We are working with several different organizations to receive support group
therapy training, including Wisconsin Family Ties and the Child and Adolescent
Bipolar Foundation.
Our local NAMI affiliate is NAMI Mid Central Wisconsin. In June of 2006 Joann
Stephens was elected as President of NAMI Adams County. The affiliate's name
was then changed to NAMI Mid Central Wisconsin and expanded to include Green
Lake, Marquette, Juneau, Columbia, and Waushara Counties. For NAMI

www.namimidcentralwi.org. You can also contact Joann via e-mail for additional
information about the NAMI organization. They currently have monthly support
groups in all six of their service counties. Please visit the NAMI Mid Central

bimonthly newsletter. NAMI membership is encouraged, but not required.

walked in your steps and who understand what you're going through. There are no misconceptions or judgements to deal with.
